Social Secretary for the Intake Team

Welcome to the Investigation Unit in Ludvika Municipality! To meet tomorrow's challenges, we are now looking for an engaged social secretary who wants to make a difference for children and young people.

The Workplace

The Individual and Family Care is part of the Social and Education Administration in Ludvika Municipality. We are approximately 100 employees organized into five units: the Investigation Unit, the Support and Social Security Unit, the Foster Care and Family Law Unit, the Open Care Unit, and Ami. The Investigation Unit consists of four functional groups and is led by a unit manager together with two senior social secretaries. Here, we work in teams, often two and two on cases, and value close supervision, reflection time, and a good work environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a social secretary in the intake team, you are the hub of social services' first contact with residents, partners, and other actors.

You will among other things:

  • Receive incoming cases and assess the need for support and interventions.
  • Provide guidance, support, and information in both acute and more everyday situations.
  • Document and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Be the face of social services in the important first contact with children, young people, and their families.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A degree in Social Work (Social Work Bachelor's degree).
  • Knowledge of current legislation.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
  • A valid driver's license (Category B).

Merits:

  • Experience in intake functions within social services.
  • Experience in authority exercises within the area of children and young people (0–20 years).
  • Further education in e.g., systems theory or Signs of Safety.
