Main Responsibilities

As an IT Specialist, you play a key role where you, together with your colleagues, develop new technical solutions for the Swedish Armed Forces, participate in exciting assignments, and maintain existing IT solutions. You provide third-line support to the IT technicians who maintain systems within your area of responsibility.

The position involves continuous learning of new technologies and products, all in the spirit of strengthening Sweden's defense. If you wish to spend time on environmental scanning and in-depth problem analysis, this is possible. Employees within the Swedish Armed Forces are given time for further development both internally and externally.

We are currently looking for several people where some or several of the following competency focuses are interesting: Windows Server, Linux, Networking, Virtualization.

Qualifications

• University education in IT or equivalent knowledge, as assessed by the Swedish Armed Forces
• Several years of experience working as an IT Specialist or in a similar role
• Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows Server platforms and/or Linux server platforms
• Good knowledge of virtualization platforms
• Good knowledge of networking and firewalls
• Good knowledge of scripting and automation
• Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Swedish citizenship
• Class B driver's license

Merits

• Practical experience in IT security work
• Experience with system hardening and processes (e.g., CIS, STIG, ISO 27001, ISO 27002)
• Experience with blue/purple team work
• Experience with operations and technology in complex IT environments with high IT security requirements
• Experience with operations and management of monitoring systems
• Experience with system integration

The position is a civilian post, full-time, permanent, with a 6-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.

The location is Örebro, starting as soon as possible or by agreement.

Some travel is included in the job.
