MatLust Development Node is a hub and engine for the development of a sustainable and innovative food system, driving collaboration between business, academia, and society. The node in Södertälje has been built up over several years through various development projects focusing on business development, public meals, sustainable menu concepts, and much more. We are physically located at Södertälje Science Park. As our accountant is going on parental leave, we are looking for a substitute. There is an opportunity to extend the position.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for an accountant interested in sustainable development, food, and labor market issues. You enjoy being a key cog in a project team where you must keep track of all regulations required by regional, state, and EU-funded projects. You do not hesitate to tackle bureaucratic issues, have a firm grasp of numbers, and are flexible where possible. Therefore, you are meticulous and analytical, have an open mind, and a drive to find solutions to complex problems. You are interested in business issues and have the drive to find "win-win" solutions for the parties involved in the project through the possibilities offered by economics. You will work closely with project management, monitor all project budgets, report the finances to our funders, and communicate budget outcomes to the municipality's internal administration, project teams, steering groups, and partners, which requires a certain degree of pedagogical skill. The work also includes administrative tasks such as invoice processing and archiving. It is necessary that you have solid knowledge of financial accounting and reporting within the public sector.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• Education: University degree in economics or equivalent.
• Experience working in the public sector.
• You are familiar with the most common accounting systems and have experience with large budgets.
• Very good skills in expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, as well as good English.

Merits:

• It is a merit if you have worked with reporting to one or more of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, The Swedish ESF Council, Vinnova, the Swedish Board of Agriculture, and regions, and are familiar with their reporting systems.
• Experience working with the accounting system "Ekonomi" and the e-commerce system ERP.

Personal qualities:

• You are easy to work with, receptive, independent, proactive, and responsible.
• You have no problem "rolling up your sleeves" when needed to drive matters to completion together with the rest of the project team.
