Sous Chef with a Passion for Classic and Sustainable Cooking

We are looking for an engaged chef who, together with our site manager and head chef, will lead the daily operations in the kitchen at Proviant Hornsberg.

In August 2026, we will open the doors to our new restaurant in completely newly renovated premises. The restaurant is located a stone's throw from Hornsberg Strand on Western Kungsholmen (Lindhagensgatan 126) and includes a production kitchen, an à la carte kitchen, a gently renovated restaurant/dining room, and a lovely outdoor terrace.

Good traditional Swedish home cooking is the foundation of our culinary philosophy, but we are also passionate about developing a sustainable kitchen and modern cooking techniques. In the evenings, we aim to be Kungsholmen's best neighborhood bistro. We are looking for someone who feels confident in classic cuisine but also has a curiosity to develop dishes from around the world. You will be part of a kitchen team consisting of chefs, kitchen assistants, and dishwashers, reporting to our site manager/head chef. Together with the service staff, the team consists of approximately 10 people. Working hours vary, and the restaurant is open Monday through Saturday.

Proviant was founded in 2007, and Proviant Hornsberg will become part of the Proviant Group, which has locations at four other sites in the Stockholm area.

Our areas of operation at Proviant Hornsberg

  • Breakfast with products from our own bakery, Monday – Friday
  • Box lunch with plated meals, Monday – Friday, approx. 150–200 lunches/day
  • Evening à la carte, Wednesday to Saturday
  • Saturday brunch
  • Catering – coffee breaks, lunch, dinner
  • Events & parties

We are looking for

  • A seasoned and curious chef who is hands-on, with a great interest and pride in the profession
  • A skilled leader who enjoys leading others and being part of a team
  • A meticulous and structured person who thrives juggling many balls in the air at a fast pace
  • A positive and social person who wants to contribute to the well-being of everyone, both employees and guests
  • You have at least five years of experience, preferably in a similar role
