Workplace Description
Europaskolan Strängnäs is an established independent upper secondary school, centrally located by Lake Mälaren, with a profile focused on European orientation. We offer seven university-preparatory upper secondary programs, two of which are specialized tracks in social sciences/history and natural sciences. Our operations are built on close collaboration with universities, colleges, and the business community, enabling us to provide our students with a solid foundation for future studies, both nationally and internationally.
We aim to be an inspiring and challenging school for students who want a little more. Here, there is a strong sense of community where knowledge and education are our guiding principles. We work in subject teams and encourage active collegial collaboration and continuous professional development. IT is a natural part of our working methods, both pedagogically and administratively.
Job Description
Do you want to make a difference in the daily lives of students and contribute to a safe, health-promoting school environment? We are now looking for a school nurse who wants to become an important part of our student health work.
As a school nurse here, you work closely with the principal, school staff, and other student health personnel to strengthen the school's value-based work. You play a central role in preventive and health-promoting work and actively contribute to creating good conditions for students' health and learning.
You are part of the school's student health team and collaborate with both school leadership and colleagues to meet the students' needs. Together with the school counselor, you also work in the classrooms for informational and preventive purposes.
The role includes:
- offering support and counseling to students, guardians, and school staff together with the school doctor
- holding regular open clinics for basic healthcare interventions
- following up on medical records and conducting individual follow-ups as needed
- distributing and following up on health surveys
- participating in networks with other school nurses for experience sharing and professional development
- monitoring and working in accordance with current medical regulations, guidelines, and legislation within student health
We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, has a genuine commitment to children's and young people's health, and enjoys working both independently and in a team.
