We are looking for a Chief Registrar/Archivist at the Swedish Board for Foreign Trade and Other International Economic Relations (Kommerskollegium)
The Swedish Board for Foreign Trade and Other International Economic Relations (Kommerskollegium) is Sweden's authority for foreign trade, the EU's internal market, and trade policy. We work, among other things, with the EU's free trade agreements, Swedish companies' opportunities to import and export, and trade-related development cooperation. At Kommerskollegium, you will find yourself in an international environment where major trade policy issues are mixed with concrete problem-solving for individual companies and individuals. Our vision is sustainable trade without barriers. Around 100 employees work here, and our activity-based office is located centrally in Stockholm.
Kommerskollegium is a growing authority with several new tasks. Since the summer of 2025, we are also a preparedness authority with sectoral responsibility for the foreign trade sector.
As part of the administrative unit, you have a central function for the operations. The unit consists of approximately 15 employees who work with operational and strategic support in areas such as IT, registry, archives, HR, finance, procurement, office and property administration, legal affairs, as well as security and preparedness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to be a key person in Kommerskollegium's handling of documents and cases? We are an expert authority with highly current issues, and we are now looking for you who want to work with developing, managing, and following up on the registration, handling, disclosure, and archiving of the authority's information.
As Chief Registrar and Archivist, you are responsible for the authority's diary registration and case handling, as well as the development and management of archive and information management. You ensure that the handling of public documents takes place in accordance with current legislation and internal directives. The role also includes providing support, training, and guidance to the operations regarding registration, public access, secrecy, and archive matters. You also work in the authority's dispatch for security-classified documents.
You work both operationally and strategically and contribute to developing the authority's processes within information management.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a relevant higher education or university degree in archival and information science, or alternatively another education that Kommerskollegium assesses as equivalent.
You have extensive experience working as a registrar and/or archivist within public operations and good knowledge of public access and secrecy legislation as well as archive legislation. The work assumes familiarity with working in case handling systems, and we would prefer that you have worked in Public 360°, which Kommerskollegium uses.
It is an advantage if you have experience as a Chief Registrar or in a coordinating role, as well as experience in development and change work within information management. Experience in working with security-classified documents and signal security, for example administration regarding signal security keys, is also meritorious.
You express yourself easily in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
As a person, you are structured and meticulous. You are analytical, have integrity, and good judgment in your work. You also have very good cooperation skills and are service-oriented in your approach.
The position is placed in a security class and requires Swedish citizenship. A security investigation with register control will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
