About the role of Senior Data Engineer at Knowit

As a Senior Data Engineer with us in Gothenburg, you work on designing and developing advanced data solutions in the cloud. You will work with modern principles within data modeling, semantic layers, and data governance to create robust and future-proof data platforms. You take responsibility for architecture choices, implementation, and optimization of pipelines, and serve as a technical role model in the team. Our assignments span both the public and private sectors, where you help create solutions where data becomes a strategic asset and a central part of the business.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Design and implement scalable data platforms in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Build and optimize data pipelines using Python and DBT

• Ensure high data quality, performance, and robustness in complex systems

• Drive technical decisions and contribute to best practices within data engineering

• Support teams and clients in architecture and design matters

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you with at least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ready to take greater responsibility in teams and deliveries. You have solid experience with cloud-based solutions, Python, and DBT, and are accustomed to working closely with both technology and business.

You are confident in leading technical discussions, making decisions, and supporting others. At the same time, you are unpretentious and thrive in a culture where collaboration and learning are in focus. Experience with AI and data-driven organizations is a plus.
