Do you have a solid background in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)? Do you thrive in an operational role where you contribute to ensuring a safe working environment at an exciting workplace? We are now looking for an engaged EHS Specialist!
About the role
As an EHS Consultant, you will play a key role in monitoring and developing the organization's safety work. You will work closely with the operations to identify risks, implement policies, and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. You will be part of a team where safety and well-being are top priorities. The role is based on-site at the client's facility, giving you the opportunity to truly understand the business's challenges and needs up close.
Responsibilities
Your duties are varied and include both strategic and operational work:
- Identify risks to people, property, and operations, and conduct incident investigations.
- Develop and maintain local health policies, procedures, and programs.
- Implement and conduct internal audit processes and participate in external inspections.
- Perform comprehensive risk and hazard assessments and drive continuous improvements.
- Prepare and deliver safety training for both employees and contractors.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to colleagues.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a post-secondary education in fields such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a technical discipline (engineering, chemistry, biology).
- Has documented practical experience in EHS work in an operational environment.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of Swedish occupational health and safety legislation and relevant regulations.
- Has experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal audits.
- Communicates fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you:
- Have experience working in a global or multinational organization.
- Have worked with international EHS standards.
- Have experience in coaching and advisory roles.
As a person, you are confident in your expertise, communicative, and have the ability to engage others in safety matters. You are meticulous, analytical, and thrive when taking significant ownership of your processes.
