Your role

As a project manager, you will have a leading role with responsibility for the entire project process, from planning, design, and budgeting to contracts, execution, and handover. The role involves managing technically complex projects with a focus on switchgear, electrical safety, and standardized power supply to our processing plants. You will have significant authority to assemble your own project team and lead specialists, consultants, and contractors towards common goals.

The position is located in the Processing Projects section in Kiruna. Our area of responsibility includes projects within sintering, beneficiation, and pelletizing plants. The section consists of 14 employees distributed across the roles of project manager, project coordinator, and construction manager. You will become part of a dedicated project organization. What you bring with you

To succeed in the role of project manager, we see that you are a structured and goal-oriented person who thrives on driving projects forward even in complex environments. You are accustomed to collaborating with various stakeholders and building trust-based relationships both internally and externally. You enjoy finding solutions to problems when conditions change.

We expect you to have:

• An academic degree, preferably an engineering degree with a technical/project focus, or equivalent relevant work experience in project work.
• Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• A B-class driver's license is a requirement for all positions at LKAB.

It is an advantage if you also have any of the following:

• Previous experience of project management and project work in large facility projects. We would prefer that you have led large-scale projects from planning through execution to completion.
• Knowledge of different contracting and procurement methods.
• The position will primarily have a clearer focus on project management within electrical engineering and switchgear projects for standardized and reliable power supply in processing operations. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have a background or experience in the electrical field, or alternatively projects related to power supply in an industrial environment.
