Here you will have the opportunity to work in a smaller organization with varied tasks, close to colleagues and with short decision-making paths.

The Technical Unit covers the areas of Water and Wastewater (VA), Streets & Parks, and Vehicles, and currently consists of ten employees. The unit provides the municipality with well-maintained green spaces, parks, and plantings. It maintains the road network including associated lighting and snow removal. Water and Wastewater is a crucial part of a functioning society and is managed from this unit. The unit is also responsible for the municipality's vehicles and machinery.

Since our current Water and Wastewater Engineer is moving on to new challenges, we are looking for his successor. The position reports to the Unit Manager of the Technical Service Unit.

Responsibilities

We are looking for the right person who wants to move forward. Here you will take steps in your development through trust-based leadership, where you will have the opportunity to succeed.

A selection of tasks related to VA and the position includes; Connection and VA tariff issues. Leading VA investigations, design, and implementation. Documenting tasks for environmental reports and leading VA operation meetings with our two operation technicians. Operation monitoring takes place in our SCADA, dashboard, and water meter systems, which is where we most often find our water leaks.

The position is broad, and we are looking for you who want to learn new things and give yourself and the unit the opportunity to take the next step forward.

Since we are a small organization, you will also participate in the work of developing stormwater issues in the municipality so that we can also work sustainably in this area.

The position involves working with the municipality's public environments, which means you will have contact with the municipality's citizens, so good hospitality is fundamental.

On-call duties may be included in the position.

Qualifications

You have an academic education in road and water, environment, civil engineering, or equivalent, which we assess as relevant for the assignment. You may also be interesting to us if you lack an academic degree but have acquired competence and experience through working life that we assess as equivalent.

It is meritorious if you have previously worked with GIS/Geosecma/VA-banken, participated in VA projects, and worked with processes at treatment plants/waterworks. You preferably have at least 2 years of work experience with experience in and the ability to independently plan and drive projects.

You are driven by improvement work and the desire to learn new things, while also having an easy time prioritizing among important tasks. You will have colleagues nearby to bounce challenges off of, and the unit manager will be available to prioritize tasks if you wish.

Offering good hospitality is a matter of course for you, and you find it easy to create good relationships with others and to be a good communicator both in speech and writing. We also see that you have good judgment in weighing and prioritizing in work and take responsibility for your own tasks.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

A B-driver's license is a requirement.
