Our Operations

The Emergency Department at Akademiska Hospital receives approximately 60,000 visits annually. The department is open 24/7 and is tasked with providing specialized medical care for acutely ill or injured patients. Are you a trained nursing assistant and do you want a key role in managing patient flow at the emergency department during night shifts? We are now looking for a Local Ward Coordinator!

Your Role

Your role as a Ward Coordinator is to optimize the use of the hospital's beds and ensure that patients at the emergency department are directed to the correct ward. Your duties include assessing and monitoring bed availability on all wards during night shifts, as well as prioritizing and allocating patients ready for admission from the emergency department to inpatient care. You will work in close collaboration with the Responsible Nurse (LAS).

Your role also involves supporting operations with tasks aimed at optimizing the internal patient flow.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant. Experience as a Ward Coordinator or experience within emergency care is meritorious. Knowledge of the medical record system Cosmic is also an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, valuing traits such as being independent, communicative, and cooperative. You must be able to lead and organize work to maintain structure and make quick decisions in a stressful environment.

What We Offer

• Scope: Full-time or part-time according to agreement.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment for 6 months, starting as agreed.
• Working hours: Night shifts.
• Salary: According to agreement.
