Quality work within the educational activities is part of the operational support assignment.
Cultural Development and Operational Support Sörmland currently consists of 15 employees with various assignments, such as strategists and developers. We are located in beautiful premises at Sörmland Museum in Nyköping and operate throughout Sörmland County. The organization strives for a transparent subculture where you are expected to share your expertise, but also to curiously explore and engage with the knowledge and experiences of others. There are good opportunities for remote work.
Your Responsibilities
The position of Quality Developer is a central and strategically important key function requiring high competence and having significant impact on quality work within educational activities. The Quality Developer has a coordinating and supportive role focusing on quality work and operational development in upper secondary schools, including adapted upper secondary schools, and the region's two adult education centers (folkhögskolor). The assignment is to contribute to a cohesive, systematic, and development-oriented quality work throughout the entire chain of command. The initial focus will be on upper secondary schools, with the scope later broadened to include the adult education centers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and developing systematic quality work (SQW) at the upper secondary school.
- Supporting principals and school directors in the analysis of results and goal achievement.
- Ensuring structure, documentation, follow-up, and reporting.
- Contributing to quality work leading to concrete, prioritized improvement measures.
- Providing support in dialogue with the main authority and during external audits, such as supervision or follow-ups.
The assignment also includes supporting corresponding quality and follow-up work at the region's adult education centers, taking into account the specific assignments and governance of adult education.
The tasks are varied, ranging from analysis and structural work to operational dialogue and collaboration with various functions and roles. You will move between strategic and operational levels and work closely with the school director and other key personnel.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant academic degree for the assignment, for example in pedagogy, educational science, social sciences, or another area deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Has experience in quality work, follow-up, and analysis within educational activities or other public sector operations.
- Has experience working in upper secondary schools and/or adult education centers.
- Has a good understanding of systematic quality work and how quality can be monitored and developed over time.
- Has experience working closely with managers and leadership in development and analysis issues.
- Communicates well in both speech and writing in Swedish.
- Has good digital competence.
Merits include:
- Experience with follow-up reporting to the main authority, board, or external actors.
- Experience in the role of principal or equivalent at the upper secondary level.
- Experience working in operational and follow-up systems.
We are looking for someone who is self-reliant, goal- and result-oriented, and works in a structured and analytical manner, with the ability to see the big picture and connections. You are communicative and find it easy to collaborate and build trusting relationships. You thrive in a role where you support others and contribute to development without having formal line management responsibility. You are development-oriented, curious, and comfortable switching between different perspectives and tasks.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
