Department Manager / Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Do you have previous experience as a sales, logistics, department, or perhaps store manager? Then you could be the one we are looking for!

In the role of Department Manager, you have the overall responsibility to lead and distribute the work in the daily operations of your team. You will develop and motivate your employees so that they are stimulated and contribute to a positive work environment that positively impacts our customers.

We are opening a new store in Jönköping and are now looking for several Department Managers! We are looking for managers who can take responsibility in areas such as sales, logistics, service, and/or cash desk! We are going to build an entirely new store together, and we are looking for you who are a driven, experienced leader, preferably from retail, with interest/knowledge within the building trade!

Examples of duties

• You see your colleagues in the store management as one of your closest teams and work together to drive the entire store forward.
• You act as a deputy for the Store Manager and other Department Managers as needed, and you have on-call duties.
• Actively work on exposure and optimization of processes.
• Act as a role model regarding advice and sales towards customers.
• Identify problems and come up with solutions, as well as ensure that standards are maintained.

Your profile

• You are a role model for your colleagues and are driven by working in a team.
• You have a burning interest in sales and are driven daily to develop the management group's and your own team's sales and logistics work.
• Your leadership is characterized by humility and a coaching approach.
• Previous leadership experience leading groups of 10-15 people.
• You have experience from retail, with experience handling large volumes and knowledge within at least one of Hornbach's product areas.
• Good administrative skills, preferably previous knowledge of ATOSS and SAP.
• You think commercially in all aspects of the business and have a good ability to turn strategy into action.
• You work data-driven and can identify areas for development to then create an action plan for your team.
• Good knowledge and experience in finance to be able to develop departments and their profitability.
• As a person, you are meticulous and solution-oriented.
• A B-class driver's license is a requirement.
• Forklift license (A1-A4, B1-B4) is highly meritorious.
• Knowledge of marketing in social channels is meritorious.
• Previous experience in logistics is meritorious.

Working hours/Duration: Permanent employment with a six-month probation period. Full-time 38.25 hours/week. Scheduled working hours, daytime and evening. Weekend work occurs.
