About the role

At Perido, we are currently looking for an Accountant/Controller on behalf of our client, a world-leading research environment. Here you will find a role in a stimulating workplace within an international setting, featuring varied tasks and friendly colleagues. The office is located in central Stockholm.

Your responsibilities

This is a combined role as an Accountant and Controller, where you will work approximately 70% on accounting and 30% on controlling. You will become part of the economic section, consisting of four economists and two economic administrators. The team is led by a coordinator and is characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a shared responsibility for delivery.

In this role, you will primarily work with the accounting and financial follow-up of externally funded research projects, including EU grants. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Preparation of project budgets
• Ongoing follow-up and financial control
• Investigations, analyses, and forecasts
• Reporting and final accounting of projects
• Production of relevant economic reports
• Requisition of research grants
• Other economic-related tasks

Your profile

You are driven and take initiative, while also having an eye for detail and quality in delivery. Since the workload can be high at times and work often occurs against deadlines, you need to be stress-resistant and able to prioritize effectively.

The role involves many contact points in a support function, meaning you are social, service-oriented, and enjoy collaborating with others. You have excellent teamwork skills, while also being self-sufficient and confident in driving your work forward independently.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Completed education in the relevant field
• At least one (1) year of work experience as a Controller
• At least one (1) year of work experience as an Accountant
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Knowledge of analysis tools (e.g., QlikView, Insight, and Power BI)
• Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• Fluent communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written

Merits:

• Previous experience working with the above-described tasks, in
• the financial system Raindance or the personnel system Primula
• Experience with project follow-ups and grant funds
• Experience from the higher education sector, other government operations, or similar
• Experience with economic EU accounting is considered particularly meritorious

Scope and start date

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-11-24, with a high chance of extension, up to 2027-05-24. Start date: 2026-05-25.
