On behalf of our client, SJR is currently recruiting an Accountant for a fixed-term assignment at a small bank in central Stockholm. This role is ideal for you who want to work close to the business in a stable and professional environment, where you will take overall responsibility and quickly make an impact with your accounting expertise.

About the Role

The assignment starts immediately and is expected to last approximately six months. The role is based at a small bank centrally located in Stockholm and involves responsibility for the entire financial process. As you settle into the work, there is an opportunity for gradually increased responsibility and independence.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing bookkeeping
• Invoice and payment processing
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT reporting
• Internal financial reporting
• Support during the audit process
• Participation in company-wide projects and improvement initiatives

Qualifications

For this assignment, we are looking for you with 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, for example from similar roles or from accounting or audit firms. Previous experience from larger firms is advantageous. You have solid accounting knowledge and are accustomed to working in a structured manner, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines. Very good Excel skills are required, and experience with automation, such as working with macros, is advantageous. You have native-level proficiency in Swedish and good knowledge of English. Experience from the finance or banking sector is advantageous.
