Seeking: Consultant in Harmful Use and Addiction – Starting September 1st

A municipality in southern Sweden is seeking a qualified consultant for a position as a social worker within the field of harmful use and addiction. The assignment starts on September 1, 2025, with the possibility of extension or permanent employment once a permanent staff member is in place.

Assignment Description

The role involves exercising authority according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU/LVM) and includes among other things:

• Investigation of addiction issues and social situation.
• Assessment of needs and decisions regarding support and treatment measures.
• Follow-up of approved measures.
• Client meetings take place at the workplace, in the home, or together with collaborating partners.

Working hours are weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00. The work is primarily performed on-site at the municipality, although some remote work may be considered possible by the client.

Requirements

The consultant must:

• Hold a Swedish Master of Social Work degree or equivalent.
• Have at least five years of experience in exercising authority (SoL).
• Have recent experience in the field within the last five years.
• Be well-versed in relevant legislation, able to work independently, and document clearly.
• Have good collaboration skills and a professional approach.
