IT Technician - On-Call / As-Needed Position

Plasman Sverige AB is now looking for an IT Technician for an on-call/as-needed position.

About the role: As an IT Technician, you will become a key part of our IS/IT function, working closely with the business operations to ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT operations. The role combines operational technical work with support, improvement initiatives, and participation in IT-related projects.

You will report to the Head of Logistics/IT and maintain regular contact with internal users, suppliers, and external partners.

In this role, you will:

• Actively work to maintain a stable and secure IT operational environment
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot within:
  • Networks
  • VMware
  • Datacore
  • Backup systems
  • Client environments
• Administer Microsoft 365, users, and licenses
• Provide support to internal users and ensure IT systems function according to business needs
• Act as a technical resource in IT projects and development initiatives
• Contribute to high availability and continuous development of the company's IS/IT environment
• Stay updated on technical developments and apply company policies, guidelines, as well as applicable laws and agreements

Authority in the role
As an IT Technician with us, you have the opportunity to work independently and take ownership. The role includes the authority to:

• Make independent decisions within given frameworks to ensure operations and task execution
• Prioritize and plan the sequence of activities based on business needs and areas of responsibility
• Conduct purchases within a set budget related to IT needs

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience working in IS/IT
• Relevant education in IT or equivalent work experience
• Strong technical competence in operations, networking, virtualization, and user support
• A structured and independent work approach
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and drive activities from start to finish
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience with WMS is a plus

About the position: This is an on-call/as-needed position where the workload is driven by the business's current needs. Assignments can vary from a few hours during urgent situations to several days in a row, for example, during holidays, leave, or other absences of the regular IT Technician. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a fixed schedule or a specific number of working hours per week.
