Experienced Auto Body Painter for Werksta Högsbo, Gothenburg

Werksta Högsbo is now looking for an experienced auto body painter who wants to deliver high-quality paint and plastic repairs and contribute to a secure customer experience. You will be working with

As an auto body painter, you are responsible for performing preparatory work, painting, and finishing according to the workshop's routines and manufacturer instructions. You work closely with the damage and sheet metal team as well as customer reception to ensure efficient flows, correct color choices, and that vehicles are delivered in a professional and customer-friendly condition.

• Prepare surfaces by sanding, priming, masking, and degreasing before painting.
• Mix and match colors and adjust spray guns for optimal spray pattern.
• Perform spray painting, clear coating, and polishing according to specifications.
• Check quality and finish and correct deviations before delivery.
• Collaborate with bodywork and sheet metal workers to ensure correct work orders and schedules.
• Document performed actions in the workshop system (Cabas & CabPlan) and monitor time and materials.
• Ensure that occupational health and safety routines are followed, including handling of chemicals and protective equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement work for the workshop's processes and quality.

Your profile – Experienced, meticulous, and quality-conscious

We are looking for you with several years of experience in auto body painting in a workshop environment. You are self-initiating, have a high finish in your work, and have a good understanding of color technology and painting processes. As a colleague, you contribute to a positive and supportive work climate and can prioritize to meet delivery times without compromising on quality.

• Several years of experience as an auto body painter or equivalent within the automotive industry.
• Experience with plastic repairs is an advantage.
• Experience with color mixing, spray technique, and paint repairs.
• Good technical understanding of materials, surface treatments, and repair instructions.
• Experience with documentation in workshop systems (Cabas & CabPlan) and time reporting.
• Structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented.
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Category B driver's license is required.
