About the Position

In this role, you will be employed by Elajo Mekanik, Industry Division, where we focus on industrial customers. You will primarily work with customers in Karlskrona, but we highly value if you have the opportunity to travel for work to be involved in projects with more of our customers, primarily in southern Sweden.

In the role of workshop worker/plate worker, you will be out at our industrial customers' sites across Sweden, working with advanced assembly tasks, primarily in workshop environments. You will also work with manufacturing various steel details in different material thicknesses. The job suits you if you enjoy working both independently and in a team, and appreciate the variety of traveling to different projects and customer facilities. You will be an important part of our mechanics division, working with workshop manufacturing, new installations, maintenance, and repairs of industrial components.

Your Responsibilities

• Industrial manufacturing, assembly based on drawings, installation, and maintenance
• Manual tack welding of primarily black steel / Inconel, but also stainless steel and aluminum in various techniques (MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA)
• Burning/cutting, Carbon arc gouging
• Quality control and documentation of completed work
• Collaboration with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure the highest quality
• Travel to various customer facilities, primarily in southern Sweden.

Qualifications

• Vocational education in industry, workshop, or equivalent technical education
• Competence to perform simpler welding tasks such as tack welding with TIG or rod electrode
• Current welding certificates are highly meritorious
• Experience from work in workshops and manufacturing industry, shipbuilding industry, process industry
• Good knowledge of reading drawings and technical documentation
• Good material knowledge
• Category B driver's license is a requirement
• You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written

We also consider it meritorious if you have valid certificates/certifications in:

• Hot work
• Crane and forklift licenses
• Mobile work platforms
• Fall protection training
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

This position will involve undergoing a security clearance based on current regulations regarding security protection. The security clearance includes extracts from the criminal record, background checks, a security clearance interview, and that you will be registered-checked by the Security Service during the assignment.

To be considered for employment, the security clearance must be approved.
