ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a P&ID Engineer, you are responsible for creating and updating piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) for systems on board submarines. The work is a central part of both new construction and the maintenance of existing systems.

You ensure that the diagrams are clear, easy to read, and correctly represent process flows – from source to final function. The role requires an understanding of how processes work, including flow directions and the correct use of symbols to describe function and system structure.

• Create, update, and quality-assure P&ID diagrams
• Work in CAD tools for diagram drawing
• Ensure diagrams comply with current standards and symbolism
• Collaborate with engineers and technical specialists
• Contribute to both new development projects and maintenance work

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• A university degree in engineering or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience from the process industry or similar operations
• Good understanding of processes, flows, and system structure
• Experience with CAD tools

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in drawing P&ID
• Knowledge of instrumentation and functional descriptions
• Familiarity with accepted system symbols and standards

To succeed in the role, you are meticulous, structured, and have a technical interest. You have the ability to see the big picture in complex systems and can translate technical information into clear and pedagogical diagrams.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where our customer has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.

This is a consultancy assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
