What does the job as a nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?

A nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care is a valuable key person. We are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together in the team with care staff, rehabilitation, and management, we collaborate around the residents to provide a good life every day.

The specific competence of a registered nurse is nursing care. This encompasses both the scientific knowledge area and the patient-near work, based on a humanistic view of humanity. You are responsible for meeting our residents' needs for health and medical care.

As a night nurse, you are responsible for health and medical care at our 8 elderly care homes. Your closest colleagues during your shift are nursing assistants working nights at our units, but other night, day, and on-call nurses are part of your colleague group.

This implies independent work, where flexibility and the ability to prioritize are important traits. You will also become an important part of quality improvement work, as you will work at all our units.

You work with care in everything you do, take significant personal responsibility, and have the ability to prioritize and lead others even under changing circumstances. Collegial collaboration is of great importance in this role.

About the job

Norlandia operates 8 elderly care homes: Vedbo, Ängsklockan, Fatburen, Hagaäng, Björkbacken, Mälarhem, Daggrosen, and Hökåsen.

Based at Daggrosen, where you have access to a computer, phone, and car, you travel for both planned and urgent interventions. You provide support to care staff in medical matters, as well as during specific nursing situations or delegated tasks.

We work in the systems Cosmic, epsilon, and Planit.

• We are looking for you who are a registered nurse.
• It is meritorious if you have previous experience as a nurse in elderly care.
• You need to have good knowledge of health and medical regulations.
• You must have good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• We would appreciate if you have knowledge of documentation based on ICF and KVÅ.
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.
• A driver's license is required for this position.

Other information

Employment type: Permanent

Hours: 64% or as agreed.

On-call: Possibility of on-call shifts evenings and weekends.

Start date: As agreed

Probation: We apply a 6-month probation period.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to produce an extract from the criminal record register. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
