We are now looking for staff to work in Specialized Housing for the Elderly during the summer of 2026.

DUTIES

We have six specialized housing facilities for the elderly located in Sala and Västerfärnebo.

We work with person-centered care where the residents' wishes and needs are in focus. It is a fun and social job where you need to be able to listen, show respect, and create a meaningful everyday life. The work is varied and includes daily activities and outdoor time.

In the job, you help people with, among other things, care, dressing and undressing, hygiene, and assistance during meals. Medical care is performed by delegation from a nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment.
• You should have the ability to receive delegation from a nurse, which means you will administer medication or provide medical care. In some operations, delegation is a requirement.
• You need to be able to speak, write, and understand Swedish, as documentation and communication are an important part of the job.
• You need to be able to use a computer, iPad, and iPhone.
• Good physical condition.
• We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

MERITS

• High school education, Care and Nursing Program, or Child and Youth Program.
• Care experience.
• Language skills in addition to Swedish.
• Competence in different methods/approaches, e.g., within dementia, AKK, MI, etc.
• Driver's License Class B.

OTHER

• The summer period is week 25–33.
• We provide aids and protective equipment such as face masks and visors.
• From July 1, 2023, "undersköterska" (assistant nurse) is a protected title. This means that as an assistant nurse, you need to apply for a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare and present it to the employer to use the title.
• We will require you to show a criminal record extract for work in the home with the elderly and persons with disabilities, which is ordered on the Police website. The rules come into effect on 2/3 2026.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Fixed-term employment, hourly employment.

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekends. Possibility to work awake nights.

Start date is by agreement.
