About Salt & Sill

Situated on the former herring island of Klädesholmen off the coast of Tjörn, Salt & Sill is surrounded by the salty cliffs and skerries of Bohuslän. We are Sweden's first floating hotel and one of the west coast's most cherished archipelago destinations, offering a hotel, conference facilities, and a restaurant – right at the pier's edge.

Our operations have been run under the current management since the early 2000s, characterized by a strong passion for food, people, and hospitality. The proximity to the sea and local ingredients permeates both our menus and the guest experience. We are a seasonal business with a high pace during parts of the year, where collaboration, responsibility, and engagement are crucial to the whole.

About the Role

We are now looking for chefs for our kitchen team ahead of the summer season. This position is ideal for you who are a newly graduated chef or have short-term experience and wish to develop further in your professional role. The employment is primarily for the period from April to September, with the possibility of extension even after the season. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends, during both day and evening shifts.

The role combines practical work in the kitchen with the opportunity to grow in responsibility over time.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will participate in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to the menu and established quality standards. You will work together with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure a good workflow and consistent quality in delivery. The work also involves following routines for hygiene, ingredient handling, and order in the kitchen, as well as contributing to a positive and professional working environment.

Who We Think You Are

We believe you are a newly graduated chef or have short-term experience from kitchen work. You have a strong desire to learn, develop, and become better at your craft. You are meticulous, have an eye for quality and details, and take responsibility for your tasks. Collaboration is second nature to you, and you contribute with engagement, curiosity, and a positive attitude in daily work. You can communicate in Swedish and/or English at work.

Practical Information
