Sodajo Consulting is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Bid Engineer with strong drive and a willingness to take responsibility. You will play a central role in the company's continued growth, relieving the founders and management of daily tasks related to bids, calculations, and administration. Please note that we are looking for someone ready to step into a broad and important role where you are expected to take significant ownership from day one! Possible locations are Stockholm or Gothenburg, but initially, there will be on-site work at the main office in Gothenburg.

About the company

Our client is a contracting company specializing in underwater work, delivering projects and technical solutions within construction and civil engineering in marine environments. They work on complex assignments related to bridges, quays, cables, and other underwater infrastructure, often taking responsibility for the entire chain from planning to execution and documentation.

The operations combine traditional civil engineering diving with modern technology such as remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs), enabling efficient and safe deliveries even in technically challenging environments. The company is characterized by high safety awareness, technical competence, and a strong desire to continuously develop its working methods.

Information about the role

In the role of Bid Engineer, you will work closely with the company's founders and project managers, playing a key role in driving the bidding process and creating structure within the business. You will help calculate project costs, analyze tender documents, and produce competitive bids. The work involves significant personal responsibility, where you are expected to take initiative, drive processes forward, and contribute to developing routines and working methods as the company grows.

This is a direct recruitment position, meaning the recruitment process is handled by Sodajo Consulting, and you will be employed directly by our client.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare calculations and cost estimates for projects within construction and civil engineering in marine environments
• Work with tender requests and ensure they are answered correctly and competitively
• Review documentation, requirements, and technical solutions related to procurement
• Support administrative parts related to projects, documentation, and follow-up
• Contribute to structuring and optimizing internal working methods and processes
• Work closely with the CEO and founders to alleviate daily workload

We are looking for you who

• Have experience from construction, civil engineering, or similar contracting work with an understanding of how projects function in practice
• Have an interest and some experience in calculations, bidding, or business assessments
• Understand what is required to make a project viable, both from a technical and economic perspective
• Are proficient in digital work and easily adapt to new systems and working methods

Experience in commercial diving or work in marine contracting, or other practical background within construction, civil engineering, or equivalent, is highly meritorious.
