We are currently recruiting project managers for VEO's team in Västerås, both at senior and junior levels, to strengthen the organization in line with the company's continued growth.

About the role

As a project manager, you are responsible for driving distribution projects within the energy sector from start to delivery, with responsibility for time, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You lead project teams and contractors and ensure that projects are carried out according to contract, with high quality and a clear business focus. The role involves overall responsibility where you are involved throughout the entire project, from planning and initiation to execution and follow-up.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Drive and ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and with high quality.
• Lead and coordinate project teams as well as external contractors.
• Responsible for budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up.
• Work with contracting agreements, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and risk management.
• Ensure that projects are driven according to agreed terms and current legislation.
• Build and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Contribute to the development of working methods and structure as the organization grows.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who have experience of project management within energy or related technical operations and who are confident in taking broad responsibility in projects where much needs to be driven forward.

For the senior level, we are looking for you who have approximately 10+ years of experience in project management. For the junior or mid-level, we are looking for you who have approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience, as the client has a need to strengthen the team with several different experience levels.

You have:

• Experience of project management within the energy sector or similar technical area.
• Responsibility for project delivery including schedule, budget, and quality.
• Good understanding of contracting law and experience of applying it in practice.
• Experience of working with contracts, agreements, and risk management.
• A technical background, e.g., engineering education or equivalent experience.
• Structured, cost-conscious, and with good process discipline.
• Operational and thrive in a role where you drive projects close to the operations.
• Good communication skills and thrive in collaboration with both teams and customers.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to travel for work.

Meritorious

• Experience from hydropower or industrial projects.
• Experience of working in a growth company or change environment.
• Good knowledge of standard agreements such as AB 04 and ABT 06.
