Friday is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Project Manager for a globally leading industrial company in Västerås. Here, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical interest with structure, coordination, and leadership in an environment where production, machinery, and improvement work are at the center.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Västerås, specializing in large electrical machines such as motors and generators.

In the role of Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with production and drive projects that make a tangible difference in everyday operations. Initially, the projects will primarily focus on machinery procurement, production equipment, and improvements to the production environment. You will receive support from experienced colleagues, but you will also take responsibility for maintaining structure, progress, and coordination.

This is a role for you who may not yet have held the title of Project Manager, but who has already demonstrated the ability to create order, drive things forward, and bring others along with you. Perhaps you have led a group project, taken responsibility in a thesis, coordinated activities in student associations, been a team captain, a foreman during a summer job, or simply been the one who naturally took charge when something needed to be done.

• Understand production needs and translate them into concrete projects
• Drive projects related to machinery, equipment, and production improvements
• Coordinate installation, procurement, and handover to production
• Communicate with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and other internal functions
• Create structure around schedules, milestones, budgets, and follow-ups

• Hold a university degree or Master of Science in Engineering in fields such as mechanical engineering, industrial economics with a production focus, production technology, or similar
• Have practical experience from industry, production, or technical environments through, for example, summer jobs, internships, thesis projects, or project work

At our client's site, you will have the opportunity to step into a project management role in a technically advanced production environment. You are not expected to know everything from day one – but you are expected to be curious, responsible, and eager to learn.

You will work closely with production, understand on-site needs, and be involved when new machinery, equipment, and working methods are introduced. This makes the role concrete, technical, and close to operations.
