Friday is now recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Project Manager for a globally leading industrial company in Västerås. ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is a leading manufacturing company with operations in Västerås, specializing in large electrical machines such as motors and generators.

In the role of Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with production and drive projects that make a concrete difference in everyday life. Initially, the projects will mainly concern machine acquisition, production equipment, and improvements in the production environment. You will receive support from experienced colleagues, but also have your own responsibility to maintain structure, progress, and coordination.

This is a role for you who perhaps hasn't yet held the title of project manager, but has already shown that you can create order, drive things forward, and get others on board. Perhaps you have led a group project, taken responsibility in a thesis, coordinated activities in student organizations, been a team captain, foreman during a summer job, or been the one who naturally took charge when something needed to be done.

• Understand needs in production and translate them into concrete projects
• Drive projects related to machines, equipment, and production improvements
• Coordinate installation, procurement, and handover to production
• Communicate with production, technology, purchasing, suppliers, and other internal functions
• Create structure around schedules, milestones, budgets, and follow-up

• Have a university or civil engineering degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, industrial economics with a production focus, production technology, or similar
• Have practical experience from industry, production, or a technical environment through, for example, summer jobs, internships, thesis work, or project work

At our client's site, you get the opportunity to step into a project manager role in a technically advanced production environment. You are not expected to know everything from day one – but you are expected to be curious, responsible, and eager to learn.

You will work close to production, understand the needs on-site, and be involved when new machines, equipment, and working methods are introduced. This makes the role concrete, technical, and close to operations.
