We are now looking for a Software Developer for a major client in the defense industry, where you will work with advanced systems in a technically demanding environment. The role is suitable for you who want to work close to hardware and be involved in the entire development chain, from implementation to testing and verification.

About the Role

As a Software Developer, you will work for a major client in the defense industry in a technically advanced environment where software is developed for complex systems for aircraft. The role involves working through the entire development chain, from development, implementation, and integration to testing, verification, and documentation. You will become part of a team that works closely with both software and hardware, with a focus on robustness, performance, and quality. The work is carried out in a project form together with other developers, where problem-solving often takes place in dialogue with colleagues and adjacent teams. You will work on developing functions in systems with high reliability requirements, which means that code quality, verification, and documentation are central parts of the daily work. The role also involves participating in code reviews, developing and conducting tests, and contributing to the improvement of working methods and processes.

Development takes place in a Linux-based environment with a focus on hardware-near programming, where system resources are limited and require efficient code and a good understanding of how software interacts with hardware. The working method is structured and process-oriented, with clear requirement specifications and defined deliverables over longer development cycles.

Your Profile

Requirements for the position:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience programming in C, C++, and Python
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• For this position, you must undergo and pass the security clearance according to current regulations, which may require specific citizenship

Merits for the position:

• Experience from industrial, automotive-related, or other safety-critical systems
