At Knowit Connectivity in Jönköping, we work on technology-intensive projects within energy, defense, and advanced products. Here we develop systems where requirements are high, margins are slim, and quality is business-critical. We are now looking for a Senior Embedded Developer who wants to take technical responsibility and contribute to complex systems alongside other experienced engineers.

Your Role

With us, you are more than just a developer. You drive technical decisions, influence architecture, and contribute your experience in both client projects and internal collaborations.

Depending on the project, you will:

• Take responsibility for the design and implementation of embedded systems with high demands on performance and reliability
• Work closely with hardware and optimize code for limited resources and real-time behavior
• Contribute to architecture, technology choices, and working methods, both within the team and with the client
• Support colleagues with complex technical questions

Our projects take place both in-house and at client sites, usually in teams where we build competence together rather than working in silos.

Technology and Challenges

You will work in environments where software and hardware are tightly integrated, and where details matter.

Examples of what you might work with:

• Performance-critical development in C/C++ for embedded systems
• Systems with RTOS, embedded Linux, or bare-metal where determinism is crucial
• Low-level development such as drivers, protocol stacks, and bootloaders
• Communication via interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, or Ethernet
• Testing at multiple levels – from unit tests to system and integration tests
• Automation and tool development in Python

In many projects, traceability, testability, and robustness are central parts of the solution – not something added as an afterthought.

About You

We believe that you:

• Have several years of experience in embedded development and are confident in C/C++
• Are accustomed to working close to hardware and understand the interaction between software and electronics
• Have experience with systems with real-time requirements or other types of constraints
• Are comfortable taking technical responsibility and contributing to decisions, not just implementation
• Thrive in environments where you solve complex problems together with others

It is a plus if you have worked in regulated or safety-critical environments, but the most important factors are your technical level and curiosity.
