About the assignment:

The client is a man in his 30s with autism and an intellectual disability. As a personal assistant, you will support him in his daily life. This includes accompanying him in everyday activities, anticipating and preventing difficulties, and helping him with basic daily tasks that he cannot perform himself. Experience with a low-arousal approach is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is between 25–50 years old.
• Has experience working with people with similar disabilities or in other LSS (Social Services Act) operations.
• Follows instructions well and is humble.
• Can create a sense of security by maintaining important routines with foresight.
• Has a driver's license and access to a car to commute to work.

Working hours and employment percentage:

Working hours range from 08:00–20:00 and 20:00–08:00, with some on-call duties. There is double staffing around the clock, with varying times for day/evening and awake/night shifts according to a rotating schedule. We are currently looking for two assistants who can work approximately 80%.

Requirements for employment:

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at SAAND Assistans is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18. However, to ensure the safety of our clients at SAAND Assistans, we obtain extracts from the criminal record register for all individuals we hire. Therefore, you will need to present a police certificate of good conduct prior to any potential employment.
