Personal Assistant Wanted – Experienced and Engaged

We are looking for a secure, experienced, and engaged personal assistant for a boy with extensive disabilities who lives at home with his family and cat.

About the Job
The role involves being a close support in the boy's daily life, helping with all daily care such as meals, hygiene, and toilet visits. The boy has a severe intellectual disability and lacks spoken language, meaning you need to be attentive and able to interpret his way of communicating. Since he has difficulty understanding dangers, it is important that you are vigilant and responsible in all situations.

You will accompany him on various activities and take the initiative for meaningful and fun activities yourself. There are great opportunities to influence and plan the day's content, and the family is open to your own suggestions. We would appreciate it if you actively take the initiative to engage the boy without waiting for instructions from the parents. It is a big plus if you enjoy bathing, as this is a recurring part of daily life.

The work is located both in the family's house north of Kalmar and in their holiday house south of Kalmar.

You must have a driver's license and access to a car, as public transport is unavailable.

Working Hours: daytime during weekends and evenings on weekdays.
