About Us

Habiliteringen is a specialist resource within Region Sörmland, based on specific knowledge about permanent disabilities and their consequences in daily life. We complement other healthcare services. Our mission is to investigate and provide habilitation interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as autism, intellectual disability, mobility impairments, and multiple disabilities. We work in multiprofessional teams divided into children's and adolescents' teams and adult teams.

Habilitering clinics are located in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm.

We are currently recruiting a psychologist to the clinic in Eskilstuna with a focus on adolescents, located in bright premises near a recreation area. We are a workplace with a positive atmosphere! If you are interested in habilitation, we welcome you to apply for the position!

Your Responsibilities

The work is varied with a focus on psychoeducational interventions and qualified psychological assessments. Counseling and support for relatives, neuropsychological investigation, applied behavior analysis, consultation to networks, and collaboration with psychiatry are also part of the psychologist's duties. The assignment includes neuropsychiatric investigation and cognitive assessment.

You will work in a team together with special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, and nurses. We work in close collaboration with other clinics.

As a psychologist with us, you will receive continuous external professional supervision as well as internal education and supervision. There are good opportunities for competence development, and we encourage our psychologists to undertake specialist training with relevant focus. Within the region, there are both PTP and STP study supervisors to support psychologists' career development.

The psychologist group meets regularly at county-wide professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues.

The activity is positive towards method development and the employee's contribution to operational improvements.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with knowledge and interest in neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, and the psychology of disabilities. Investigation experience is meritorious. Experience of working with habilitation target groups as well as interest in method development is desirable. Ability to work in a group as well as ability to work independently is required. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
