Do you want to be part of digitalizing the forestry industry and work with technology that makes a real difference for the environment and sustainability? We are now looking for a Software Developer to join a growing company in Växjö that develops advanced systems to streamline forestry operations. Apply today – we conduct ongoing selection!
ABOUT THE ROLE:In this role, you will hold a central position in a small, tight-knit development team where you will help build solutions from scratch and further develop existing systems. The team consists of approximately four people, meaning you will have significant individual responsibility, good insight into the entire development process, and the opportunity to influence technical decisions.
You will work closely with the end customer, initially based at their office, which will give you a deep understanding of the business's needs and how the systems are used in practice. This also means short decision-making paths and close dialogue with users, allowing you to quickly see the impact of your development work.
The company focuses on digitalizing and streamlining the forestry industry through data-driven solutions. A key part of the work involves systems linked to GIS (Geographic Information Systems), where data is used to, for example, analyze environmental changes, water levels, and other factors affecting forestry. You will therefore work at the intersection of software development, data analysis, and real-world applications.
Technically, the role primarily involves backend development in C#/.NET, often in cloud-based environments within Microsoft Azure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and improve cloud-based applications within Microsoft Azure
- Work with backend development in C#/.NET
- Contribute to solutions within GIS and data-driven analysis
- Collaborate closely with both internal developers and the client
- Help streamline processes within the forestry industry
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or another area deemed relevant by the employer
- At least approx. 3 years of professional experience in software development
- Professional experience with C#/.NET
Not required, but advantageous if you have:
- Experience with or interest in GIS systems
- Professional experience from the forestry industry
- Experience with Python and/or C/C++
Furthermore, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is curious and forward-thinking, who does not hesitate to ask questions when something is unclear, and who thrives in collaboration with others. You are a team player who actively contributes to a positive and inclusive team culture.
ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both the client's and our side is that you will subsequently become a permanent employee at the client company.
ADDITIONAL INFO:- Scope: Full-time
- Start: As agreed
- Location: Växjö
