We are now looking for an IT Support Manager responsible for leading and developing IT support within the municipal group. The role has a clear focus on improving the support chain through standardization, self-service, more efficient working methods, and some automation. An important part of the assignment is to work more proactively together with operations and the first line, so that they have better conditions to prevent needs, solve more issues themselves, and use IT support more efficiently. We are looking for you who have experience in IT support and want to put improvement ideas into practice to create value in the daily lives of our users.

Responsibilities

As IT Support Manager at Alvesta Municipality, you are responsible for developing and coordinating the IT support function. You drive improvements in working methods, processes, and support flows with a focus on a more efficient and cohesive support chain. The role involves close collaboration with the first line as well as with operations and other IT functions to create clear interfaces and smooth handovers. You also work proactively with operations to strengthen knowledge support, self-service, and working methods that allow more questions to be resolved closer to the user and that support needs can be prevented. The role combines business-oriented and operational support in everyday life with a clear responsibility for leading the support function forward. You also have contact with external suppliers.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

A high school diploma or competence that the employer assesses as equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in IT support in a corporate environment, preferably in an organization of Alvesta Municipality's size.
Experience in leading, coordinating, or driving the development of a support function.
Experience in improving working methods within IT support, e.g., through standardization, self-service, or knowledge support.
Ability to build and develop good relationships with suppliers to ensure that IT services and tools function well.
Experience in qualified troubleshooting and support of software, hardware, and Windows in a corporate environment.
Good experience with ITSM tools and working according to ITIL processes or similar frameworks.
Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

Experience in owning and processing relevant key figures.
Experience in educating, guiding, and supporting colleagues and contributing to a more uniform working method.
Good familiarity with working in Microsoft-based client and server environments.
