We are now looking for a Software Systems Engineer who wants to join a newly formed team where advanced coding, control systems, and real physics meet in projects with high demands, significant responsibility, and great opportunities to make an impact! About the role As a Software Systems Engineer, you will become part of a team that develops control systems and primary data for future aircraft platforms – both unmanned and manned. The area includes, among other things, sensors for air pressure, speed, angle of attack, acceleration, and the aircraft's orientation, as well as how this data is used to control flight in a safe and robust manner. The role is clearly code-focused and involves realizing advanced control systems through hand-coding, where mathematical calculations for movement, angles, acceleration, and dynamics are a natural part of everyday life. You will work closely with simulation and modeling engineers and use MATLAB/Simulink as a reference and verification environment, while the implementation takes place in safety-critical software – primarily in ADA. You will become part of a newly formed team that works at a high pace with quick decisions. Together, you will have the opportunity to build the new organization and collaborate within the team as well as with other teams within the organization. There is great opportunity to influence both technical solutions and working methods. The role of Software Systems Engineer suits you if you want to:
- Work close to the technology and write a lot of code.
- Solve complex problems with a clear connection to real physics.
- Be involved early in the development of completely new systems.
- Combine deep technical expertise with collaboration in an engaged team.
To thrive in this role, we see that you are a person who enjoys delving into complex problems and working systematically towards clear goals. You have an analytical way of thinking and like to understand how things really fit together – from mathematical calculations to how systems function in practice. At the same time, you are independent and proactive. You take responsibility for your work, dare to make decisions, and can see for yourself what is most important to focus on here and now. Since the work takes place in a dynamic context with rapid reprioritizations, you are flexible and thrive in environments where the pace is sometimes high. You are also a team player. You enjoy collaborating, sharing your knowledge, and contributing to an open and non-hierarchical culture where people help each other succeed. Attention to detail and quality are natural to you, especially since the systems you work with place high demands on reliability and safety. In short, we are looking for you who combines technical depth with curiosity, responsibility, and a positive way of working together with others! Requirements for the position:
- University degree, Master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Good understanding of programming and mathematical calculations
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- Experience with control systems and/or control engineering
- Understanding of and experience with MATLAB and Simulink
- Programming in ADA (or background in C++, Java, or Pascal)
- Experience with safety-critical or embedded systems
- Previous work close to simulation and model-based development
The assignment is classified. Prior to employment, you must undergo a security clearance and be approved according to current regulations for security protection. This may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
