Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the leisure-time center (Fritidshem), you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum goals. You create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful environment where students' learning, development, and well-being are at the center.

You work to offer varied teaching that utilizes students' interests, strengthens their social skills, and promotes creativity, responsibility, and collaboration. You contribute to creating a seamless thread between the school day and the leisure-time center, collaborating closely with class teachers and other staff to provide students with a cohesive day.

You provide clear and secure leadership within the student group and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with authorization to teach in leisure-time centers or are an educated leisure-time pedagogue. In special cases, it may also be relevant if you are a certified preschool teacher. You have good knowledge of the leisure-time center's mission and governing documents and can implement them in practice.

To succeed in this role, you are a secure and clear leader with good pedagogical insight. You have the ability to create structure, build positive relationships, and establish an inclusive learning environment where all students feel seen and involved. Furthermore, you are creative and engaged, with the ability to create stimulating activities through play, creativity, and movement. You are flexible, solution-focused, and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents, while taking responsibility for developing the operations forward.

Within the primary school in Borås Municipality, we have a central recruitment process for Leisure-time Center Teachers. This means that we interview and appoint our positions on an ongoing basis based on the schools' needs. We update the advertisement continuously with vacant positions.
