About the position

As a Project Engineer, you will play a central role in Trafikverket's projects, from planning to execution. You will work closely with experienced project managers and contribute with your technical competence and organizational skills to ensure successful deliveries.

Currently, we are seeking a Project Engineer for the Investment business area for a railway project in the Västra Götaland region. Here, you will become part of Trafikverket's important work to improve Sweden's infrastructure. In the role of Project Engineer within the railway sector, you will be an important support to the project manager. You will be part of investment projects from design to construction by contributing with leadership, control, and follow-up.

Responsibilities

The role involves a broad spectrum of tasks within project management and coordination; below are some examples.

• Manage system support, create and follow up on the project schedule
• Risk and requirement management
• Set up, update, follow up on, and drive the project's economy in current system support
• Coordinate communication between various stakeholders
• Handle communication with external parties as well as internal sections
• Act as a coordinator and support to the project managers and the rest of the project organization

We are looking for you who

• Have at least a Master of Science in Engineering degree in economics, civil engineering, or something we consider equivalent
• Have at least two years of experience within the last five years working as a Project Engineer, Contracting Engineer, Project Coordinator, or another role we consider equivalent. Basic knowledge in project management
• Have experience with forecasting, cost follow-up, and invoice handling
• Have experience with risk management and scheduling in projects using the MS Project tool
• Have good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Have a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have

• Worked at Trafikverket with the administrative systems C7, the project portal, and Projectwise
• Education in AB, ABT & ABK (Swedish construction contracts)
• Education in BASÄVISTA (safety training for working alone on tracks)
