Your Responsibilities

You will have a meaningful and active job helping our customers with personal care and assistance according to their individual needs. This includes supporting and assisting with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, household chores, and meals. You will handle medication upon delegation, document, and report performed tasks. An important part of your work is to create a safe and positive environment for the people you support and to contribute to social interaction.

Here, you are an important part of a team working to ensure our customers have a good quality of life. You take responsibility for your tasks and always maintain a good attitude, regardless of whom you meet. You enjoy varied work, are good at listening to our customers' needs, and adapt easily to changing circumstances.

Your Competence

To work as a temporary substitute, you must be 18 years or older. To be able to meet our customers and document your work, you must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. You should be comfortable using computers and mobile phones. It is an advantage if you have started or completed education to become a nursing assistant or childminder. Perhaps you are studying another suitable course, such as nursing, physiotherapy, or behavioral science. Of course, it is a plus if you have experience working in health and social care, but it is not a requirement.

Employment as an hourly temporary worker at one or more of our workplaces, where you will have a meaningful and rewarding job and feel that you make a difference every day. We adapt your introduction and training based on your needs and experience.

With us, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in elderly care, or in activities for people with disabilities according to the LSS Act and Social Psychiatry.

Practical Information

• We work days, evenings, weekends, or nights.
• Please submit your application as soon as possible. Interviews are conducted continuously throughout the application period, and we strive to provide feedback to you as soon as possible.
• If you proceed in the recruitment process, it is mandatory to submit a video interview where you answer a short number of interview questions.
• If you are an educated nursing assistant and have proof of a protected professional title, you can attach it to your application.
• If you have been employed by Västerås Municipality in the last year, we will always request a reference from your most recent manager.
• If you become a candidate for employment, you must show your extract from the criminal registry.
