About the Role

Our client is a leading actor in mobile networks and communication in Scandinavia, founded in the early 2000s with a focus on developing future mobile infrastructure. The company is in constant development and actively works on innovative, reliable, and user-friendly connectivity solutions that shape the digital society. Today, they operate mobile networks in both Sweden and Denmark and continuously invest in technical development and future digital solutions.

The role of Accounting Assistant involves supporting ongoing financial work where you will handle manual invoice flows. You will work in a team of three people and be responsible for the daily work with the supplier invoice flow, from the arrival of invoices to payment processing. You will belong to Accounts Payable, which is a service department and part of a large Finance team, requiring good collaboration and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. You are expected to work in a structured and systematic manner and, together with the team, prioritize and focus on the right tasks at the right time to meet set goals and deadlines.

The work will be performed on-site at our client's modern office, just a few minutes from the Globe Arena.

This is a consultancy assignment via Academic Work starting in May. The period covers from May to the end of October. Onboarding can begin in May, and it is important that you have the possibility to work full-time from June until the end of October.

Responsibilities

Ensure that the following tasks are performed in accordance with internal and external requirements, routines, and policies:

  • Ongoing work with the supplier invoice flow, such as: scanning invoices, registration of arrival in Oracle ERP, posting, matching against purchase orders, periodization, releasing invoices for payment, and validation
  • Payments – preparing and creating payments
  • Assisting the organization with inquiries – Email inbox management
  • Claim and reminder management – follow-up and investigation of overdue invoices
  • Assisting in monthly and annual closing with closing activities regarding supplier liabilities
  • Simple account reconciliations

We are looking for you who

  • Have a post-secondary education in economics/finance
  • Have an interest in finance
  • Have good computer and system skills, primarily in Excel
  • Can communicate fluently in both English and Swedish, as communication occurs in both languages

It is an advantage if you have

  • Previous work experience in finance, preferably as an accounting assistant
