ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Aktiv Assistans are looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for our client in central Umeå. We offer hourly temporary work immediately, with the possibility of more work during the summer. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts on both weekdays and weekends between 09:00 and 22:00.

Start date is by agreement, and we would prefer that you can begin your introduction in the near future.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a man in his mid-20s with a strong interest in sports, gym training, music, movies, and video games. He lives with a spinal cord injury and therefore needs support in his daily life to lead an active and independent life.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in daily routines, such as household chores and creating structure in the day

  • Assist with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing

  • Assist with transfers and exercise

REQUIREMENTS

  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

ASSETS

  • Experience in personal assistance or other healthcare experience

  • Healthcare education or equivalent

  • Experience working with people who have spinal cord injuries

  • Driver's license and access to a car

Employment Level: 1 hourly temporary position as needed now and during the summer

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

To be employed by us at Aktiv Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and/or submit a certificate of identity and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. A certificate of identity can be easily downloaded from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you are required to present an extract from the criminal register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning that the registry check will include both an extract from the criminal register and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so orders should be made well in advance.
