ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Aktiv Assistans are looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for our client in Holmsund, Umeå. The position is 50% and the work is scheduled for days and evenings on weekdays and every fourth weekend.

Working hours (variations may occur):

  • 07:00-15:00

  • 15:00-20:00

  • 10:00-17:00 (weekends)

Start date is by agreement, and we prefer that you can begin the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a teenage girl with a great interest in music, play, exercise, swimming, outdoor activities, and spending time with her siblings. She needs your support as a personal assistant in daily life as she has cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and epilepsy.

Tasks include:

  • Assistance with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing

  • Support with transfers and tube feeding

  • Communication using TAKK and picture support

  • Motivating and encouraging during exercise and play

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with people and the ability to analyze and understand others' needs. You are attentive, proactive, solution-focused, and have a positive attitude. We particularly value your ability to motivate and encourage when the client's own drive needs strengthening. It is a plus if you share the client's interest in being outdoors. Personal suitability is of great importance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • No allergies to fur animals

  • Tolerance to chlorinated water

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting

  • Non-smoker

ADVANTAGES

Employment level: 1 position, 50%.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits according to collective agreement.

To be employed with us at Aktiv Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and/or submit a personal certificate and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. A personal certificate can be easily downloaded from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you must present an extract from the criminal register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply, meaning the register check will include both an extract from the criminal register and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so the order should be made well in advance.
