Welcome to apply for a substitute teacher position at Mossleskolan. We now need to expand our staffing with new substitute teachers who can meet our students during short-term absences, both in school and at the after-school center.

Mossleskolan is a Grade 1–3 school located in the western part of Värnamo town. The school has approximately 250 students distributed across four after-school departments. Our expectation and driving force is that all students want to, can, and will succeed!

The school is characterized by a pleasant and welcoming work climate where collaboration is central to student learning. Mossleskolan has an active student health team located on-site, including a counselor, school nurse, special education teacher, special needs teacher, school speech therapist, school psychologist, deputy principal, and principal.

Responsibilities

As a substitute teacher, you will play a significant role in creating safety and stability throughout the students' school day. The work involves teaching and carrying out activities based on existing plans or those planned together with the teaching team, as well as meeting students both in the classroom and at the after-school center. Collaboration with educators in various teams and students' guardians is also an important part of the work. You will be a clear, present adult who creates a calm working environment, leads groups, and supports students in their learning and social development. We offer a varied job where you can develop and make a difference for our students. You should be a good adult role model in both action and language, act with sound judgment, and follow the school's rules.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, independent, and flexible. You need to be able to adapt quickly when needs change. We prefer that you have experience in pedagogical work or education within the field. The job requires good ability to collaborate and communicate, and you must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You should also find it easy to collaborate and create motivation based on each student's unique conditions and needs. You must be able to work based on the school's values and treat students in a way that promotes respect, inclusion, and equality. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Terms

We conduct ongoing selection and interviews. The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.
