Aneby School of Arts and Crafts is an active institution with extensive outreach activities and good cooperation with the primary school. We meet more than 200 students every week and teach instruments, singing, dance, music production, as well as orchestra and group activities.

About the role

As a teacher of violin and viola, you will teach both individually and in groups for string instruments from grade 2 through upper secondary school. You will also participate in the leadership and development of our orchestras. The position is a part-time job at 80%, and teaching takes place during the day and evening at the School of Arts and Crafts and at the municipality's primary schools. In connection with concerts and other joint performances, working hours may occasionally be scheduled on additional evenings or weekends.

We collaborate in various project groups within the school of arts and crafts. Outside our operations, we also have good cooperation with the primary school and the adapted primary school, as well as good opportunities for exchange and collaboration with other schools of arts and crafts, especially within Jönköping County.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in music education with a focus on violin/viola or education/experience deemed equivalent.

As a teacher at the school of arts and crafts, we value that you have an eye for the entire operation and that you feel free to come up with ideas and suggestions that develop the school. We also expect you to:

• Contribute to a safe and positive teaching and working environment
• Listen, communicate, and collaborate well with both students and colleagues
• Utilize students' ideas and make them involved
• Be able to adapt teaching to both the group's and individual students' age, needs, and prerequisites

We attach great importance to personal suitability. To be able to carry out teaching at our various schools, you must also have a B driver's license and access to your own car.
