Our vision and goals aim for care of the highest quality, where the patient is always the focus. We provide healthcare locally and regionally, as well as highly specialized care to patients across the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength, contributing to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new ways of working, we can simplify daily life at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality.
About Us
Department 365 is a general psychiatric inpatient ward with 15 beds. The department is located at Östra Hospital. We treat individuals with conditions including depression, crisis reactions, and personality disorders. We work in teams where doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and social workers collaborate to provide patients with high-quality care. We strive for a person-centered approach where the patient is actively involved in their care and treatment. We also value our work environment and create a place where everyone can thrive together.
About the Job
Working as an assistant nurse means you are a vital part of the team dedicated to ensuring all patients receive good and safe care. As an assistant nurse, you will have a varied workload with a focus on patient-centered care, performing daily nursing tasks alongside the care team. An important part of the job is to develop care plans together with the patient based on assessed needs and to continuously evaluate and follow up on the care we provide. As an assistant nurse with us, you will have a varied role involving supportive conversations, checks such as blood pressure monitoring and blood sampling, as well as basic nursing. A central part of the work is providing psychiatric nursing care. This includes supporting patients during difficult times, conducting psycho-educational conversations, and creating conditions for the patient to feel safety, predictability, and stability.
About You
You will work closely with patients and possess a good attitude, understanding, and interest in people. You find it easy to listen and communicate with both patients and their relatives, always working from a patient-focused perspective.
Since you work in a team and interact with various partners, you need strong collaborative skills.
You are secure and stable in yourself, able to adapt to the situation and prioritize. To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible, accustomed to taking your own initiatives, and able to organize and plan your work independently.
You have the ability to meet the patient's needs and coordinate tasks for the team based on the different competencies of the staff. We prefer candidates with previous experience in psychiatric care, though it is not a requirement. Personal suitability is given great weight in the recruitment process.
We warmly welcome your application!
