Region Blekinge is currently in an exciting phase of development, shaping a new organization that brings all operations together under a common administration. We consist of the areas of Health and Medical Care, Regional Development, HR, Finance, Service, and Development and IT. Parallel to this work, the new areas and internal culture are also being developed.

Within the Finance area, the organization's collective resources for finance, accounting, and analysis are located. The area also includes the classification unit, the business department, and the purchaser department for health and medical care as well as dental care. The Finance area's mission is to lead, develop, and support the organization's work within procurement, finance, and analysis. The area has overall responsibility for processes concerning planning, budgeting, follow-up, accounting, procurement, and classification, and works continuously to develop and implement common methodology, models, and ways of working within finance and procurement.

As a summer substitute and finance assistant in the accounting department, you will work together with economists, system administrators, and finance assistants. We are a wonderful team of approximately 25 employees whose main mission is to support and serve the entire Region Blekinge within the accounting area.

About the Job

As a finance assistant in the accounting department, you will work broadly with various financial tasks.

The tasks are primarily linked to working with the region's customer accounts receivable and supplier accounts payable, including supplier invoices, patient and customer invoices, medical travel, cash accounting, and staffing the helpdesk telephone during the department's phone hours.

Other recurring tasks may include:

• Account reconciliations
• Preparation of data for statistics for other operations
• Bookkeeping of the region's payments

About You

We are looking for someone with a finance education at least at the high school level, or equivalent as assessed by the employer. Flexibility, ability to prioritize, and the ability to see the big picture are therefore important qualities to be able to adapt the work to the organization's changing needs. As a person, you enjoy working independently at times, but you also thrive in a group and see development and change as a natural part of the work.

Through good communication skills, you can convey information in a pedagogical and easy-to-understand manner regardless of recipient, situation, and content. In the position, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in the daily work.
