About the assignment
We are seeking receptionists/switchboard operators for a consulting assignment with the Swedish Coast Guard in Karlskrona. This is an as-needed position where you cover absences, peak workloads, or while waiting for new recruitment. The position is located at Stumholmen in Karlskrona.

Working hours:
Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30
Friday 08:00–16:15
The switchboard is open on weekdays (excluding holidays) 09:00–16:00

This is ideal for you who are studying or have another primary occupation and wish to work extra hours in a service-oriented role.

🔒 Security clearance: This assignment requires an approved security clearance, including a security interview and background check.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will work with service and administration related to reception and switchboard operations:

• Receive visitors and handle deliveries and couriers
• Provide information and service to customers and employees
• Support operations with administrative tasks (e.g., bookings, purchases, and registration)
• Manage the telephone switchboard: connect calls, refer inquiries, book conference calls
• Answer and forward incoming and outgoing calls
• Update and register information in the switchboard system

Occasional simple driving tasks may occur, such as transporting a vehicle to a workshop.

Your qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• At least six (6) months of work experience as a receptionist and/or switchboard operator
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Experience with telephone switchboards and referral systems
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• Class B driver's license
