What does the role offer?

As an Operational Purchaser, you are responsible for ensuring the right materials are in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right cost. You play a central role in creating structure and ensuring a well-functioning flow between warehouses, projects, and suppliers.

In this role, you will, among other things:

• Purchase/order materials and equipment for the entire business based on projects, forecasts, and inventory balances.
• Plan and order transportation.
• Coordinate chemicals and follow up on sustainability requirements.
• Ensure balanced inventory levels and actively work on inventory optimization.
• Follow up on deliveries, delivery accuracy, and handle deviations.
• Work continuously in business systems with item data, purchasing parameters, and follow-ups.
• Analyze inventory turnover and contribute to improved working methods.
• Maintain close dialogue with project managers, production, and other internal functions.
• Participate in supplier dialogues, follow-ups, and tenders when necessary.
• Handle complaints and perform some invoice control.

You will become a central function in daily operations, contributing to creating structure, working methods, and flows in an organization under development. You will also be involved in the implementation of new system support and working methods, giving you an important role in shaping how warehouse and purchasing work will function in the future.

You will become part of Energiservice at Varberg Energi – a unit responsible for real estate, warehouses, and contracting, reporting to the Unit Manager of Energiservice.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience in purchasing, inventory management, or material planning who thrives in an administrative and coordinating role. You have good system skills and feel comfortable working data-driven with follow-up, analysis, and structure. It is an advantage if you have worked with Unit4, Novacura Flow, or similar systems.

We prefer candidates with a background in contracting, construction, production, or similar operations, which gives you a good understanding of project-based material flows. Knowledge of construction law, such as AB04 and ABT06, is an extra plus.

As a person, you are structured, clear, and dare to set boundaries when needed. You have a natural drive forward and thrive in an environment where everything is not yet fully defined, but where you get to help create structure and working methods yourself.

You are communicative and collaborative, while also having integrity and standing firm in your decisions, for example, regarding delivery deviations or requirements towards suppliers.
