Falkenberg is a major tourist town that blooms especially during the summer, and as a Falkenberg Nature Steward, you can contribute to helping tourists and residents take care of our fantastic nature in a sustainable way.

Job Responsibilities
Your workdays will be spent mostly outdoors, for example by hiking our trails to ensure they are kept clean and tidy, helping our hikers, cyclists, and tourists with any questions or thoughts they may have. You will work on specific nature conservation tasks, such as building and installing birdhouses, clearing paths, and repairing boardwalks. Perhaps you have some great and exciting ideas of your own!
As a Nature Steward at the Department of Culture, Leisure, and Technology, your responsibilities include:
- Acting as walking tourist information guides, assisting tourists and providing excellent hospitality.
- Inspecting trails to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
- Carrying out various nature conservation activities.
- Walking along our beaches to assist where needed and ensure they remain clean and tidy.
- Visiting our inland swimming spots – handling litter and performing daily inspections.
- Litter picking, trimming, and mowing.
- Visiting our disc golf course – cleaning and maintenance.
During the introduction week, you will receive a training package including Hospitality Training, Sustainability Training, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and First Aid. You will also receive a clothing package upon starting work.
You will work full-time, Monday – Friday, between 07:00 and 16:00, during weeks 26–32.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are currently attending upper secondary school (gymnasium) and enjoy being out in nature and staying active every day. As a person, you are responsible, easy to collaborate with, helpful, and proactive. Since the job involves contacting and communicating with other people, it is a requirement that you can make yourself understood in both Swedish and English.
We prefer candidates attending an agricultural or nature-focused upper secondary school, but this is not a requirement. It is also an advantage if you speak multiple languages and/or hold a chainsaw certificate, but this is also not a requirement.
