About the Diocese of Strängnäs

The Diocese of Strängnäs works to support and inspire employees and elected representatives in the diocese's parishes. Geographically, the diocese mainly covers Södermanland and Närke. The diocesan chancery is located next to the cathedral in Strängnäs. There, we work in historic buildings within modern, flexible work environments. A large part of our camps and course offerings take place at the diocesan estate, Stjärnholm.

The Diocese of Strängnäs comprises 39 parishes and 10 pastoral units (which in turn consist of a total of 33 parishes).

The diocesan organization has approximately 45 employees in Strängnäs but also operates at the Stjärnholm estate outside Nyköping, as well as sign language activities in Örebro.

Diocesan pastoral care guides the work carried out within a process organization. Employees are also involved in meetings within the framework of the Strängnäs Model.

We actively work with the Church of Sweden's Climate Roadmap.

In 2023, the Diocese of Strängnäs received the Rainbow Key, a certification demonstrating active work with diversity and openness. We strive to be an environment where employees and elected representatives feel safe and included with their whole identity.

About the Position

The position of IT Systems Administrator is new and has been created in light of the rapid development within IT and digital working methods. We are looking for someone who wants to be a support in the transition the organization is undergoing. We offer a stimulating job that requires personal initiative and a strong sense of responsibility, where you contribute to promoting and supporting the purpose of ensuring routines and developing working methods. You will also contribute to increased knowledge and understanding of the digital systems we use.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the diocesan organization's internal support for IT issues
• Drive digitalization and streamline work processes
• Be responsible for the functionality of technical equipment
• Collaborate with IT technicians to promote the digitalization of parishes
• Provide advice and support
• Plan and participate in further education
• Work with IT security
• Other current tasks within the diocesan organization

Who We Are Looking For

• Have a technical education from a university, college, or university of applied sciences.
• Possess extensive knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office 365 services.
• Are service-oriented and proactive.
• Have a good ability to teach and engage others.
• Preferably have experience working within the Church of Sweden.
• Are accustomed to learning and working with other digital systems.
• Are communicative, good at building social contacts, and developing good relationships.
• Are confident working independently but can also collaborate and be part of a team.

Conditions

• Permanent employment with the workplace in Strängnäs.
• Some working hours are scheduled for evenings and weekends.
• Start date after agreement.
