Region Sörmland IT, part of Region Sörmland, is in an exciting phase of development. We are approximately 150 employees responsible for digitalization and the delivery of IT services within the region.

We are now looking for you to contribute to the digital solutions of the future.

You will be based at our Project Unit, becoming part of the team that drives the region's project office and provides project managers and test managers for the region's projects. Here, you will have the opportunity to lead projects that impact important societal functions and create value for both the region's operations and our residents. The unit is part of the Digitalization and Administration division, which is also responsible for digital operational support, system development, master data, and architecture.

Your Responsibilities

As an IT Project Manager, you are responsible for leading IT-focused projects or sub-projects. Both complexity and character will vary, and project management of certain operational projects may also be relevant. An important part of the work is to act as a bridge between the region's operations and the technical competencies within RSIT. The projects span the region's broad mandate, including healthcare, dental care, culture, IT, public transport, and sustainable regional development.

Work is carried out according to Region Sörmland's project and assignment models. You are responsible for applying these models and ensuring structure, quality, adaptability, and goal achievement in the projects you lead.

You will become part of a competent team of eight experienced project and test managers, where we jointly develop our ways of working. We welcome your interest in taking on other tasks related to the unit's mandate.

Your Competence

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with the ability to lead and execute projects and sub-projects in complex organizations. You are confident in the project manager role and accustomed to taking responsibility for the whole – from planning and execution to follow-up and delivery.

You have a good technical understanding and experience of working at the interface between operations and IT. You thrive in environments with many stakeholders and are accustomed to translating strategic goals and operational needs into concrete and executable project deliveries.

You work in a structured and quality-conscious manner, while having the ability to adapt your working methods based on the project's character and maturity. You communicate clearly and create engagement and trust among both operations and technical specialists.

As a person, you are independent, responsible, and collaborative. You have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and drive work forward together with others. You are confident in your leadership role and contribute to a professional and unpretentious collaboration.

You have:

Several years of documented experience in driving IT projects, preferably according to an established project model
Relevant academic education, for example in systems science, computer technology, or another related field, or equivalent competencies deemed equivalent
Documented education in project management

It is an advantage if you have:

Understanding of IT architecture and IT infrastructure
Knowledge of regulations regarding information security
Experience of participating in public procurements

We place great importance on personal qualities.

Travel is involved in the position, making a Class B driver's license an advantage. You must have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing.
